War Point Updates Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 30, 2026.

War Point Updates provides news updates through its Android app and warpointupdates.com. This policy explains data handling for the app, website and messages you choose to send us.

Privacy and support contact: [email protected].

Android app

You do not need an account to read updates. The app loads headlines, posts, photos and videos over HTTPS from warpointupdates.com. Cloudflare provides the site's hosting and delivery services. Requests necessarily include network information such as your IP address, the requested resource and technical connection information so content can be delivered and the service protected.

The app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for news notifications. Firebase processes an app installation identifier and push token, along with technical app and device information used to provide the service. Firebase starts when you open the app even if you do not allow notifications. Notification permission controls whether notifications are displayed; denying it does not prevent Firebase from creating an installation identifier or push token.

The current app has no in-app control to disable this processing or delete these identifiers. Uninstalling the app stops further activity from that installed copy, but does not necessarily delete information already held by Firebase. Clearing app data resets local information; opening the app again creates new Firebase identifiers. Firebase handles retention and deletion under its published policies. Firebase's published policy says that, after a customer requests deletion through its API, associated installation-ID data is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days. The app currently does not make that deletion request.

The app does not include advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. A local setting records information needed for the app's update behavior; it is stored on your device. The app's external links open in your browser or the selected third-party app, rather than an embedded web browser.

Website

The website uses Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery and security. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, traffic and routing information, requested resources and technical connection information to deliver and protect the service. Hosting and security processing is separate from the website analytics described below.

The website includes Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views and website performance. Cloudflare describes this analytics service as not using cookies or browser storage to collect usage metrics and not fingerprinting visitors. Website analytics does not run inside the native Android app. If you open the website from the app, it runs in your external browser.

Some website videos may be delivered from Telegram's media servers. If such media loads, that provider receives the network request. Links to Telegram, WhatsApp, X and other services take you to services governed by their own privacy policies.

Messages you send us

If you contact [email protected], your email address, message and any information you choose to include are received through Google's email service. Messages through the linked Telegram or WhatsApp contact options are handled through those services. Do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in support messages.

Support messages are read by the War Point Updates operator to respond to questions, tips, corrections and privacy requests. We do not sell support messages or disclose them for advertising. We keep them only as needed to handle the request and any related follow-up or legal obligations. A deletion request can be sent to [email protected].

Retention, deletion and privacy requests

Firebase and Cloudflare retain service information under their published policies and applicable service settings. Uninstalling the app does not automatically remove provider-held records. Cloudflare's published privacy policy describes retention based on service/business purposes and legal obligations. Cloudflare may retain operational or security records under its published policies; this policy does not promise that all records are removed after a fixed period.

The website has Cloudflare Web Analytics enabled. Cloudflare's current documentation says unsampled beacon data is retained for seven days and then stored in sampled form for longer-term analytics; that is not a promise that all hosting/security data is deleted after seven days.

For questions or a privacy request, contact [email protected]. We will review requests relating to information we control. Provider-held information may be subject to separate retention and deletion processes, and we cannot promise to erase identifiers we cannot identify or control.

Security

The app's current content requests use HTTPS. Firebase's published documentation states that the SDK data described above is encrypted in transit. No internet service can promise complete security.

Updates

This policy will be updated if the app's data handling or service providers change. The effective date will appear at the top of the published page.
