🇷🇺🇯🇵⚡️ — Russia’s Pacific Fleet carried out a Bastion coastal missile exercise near the disputed Kuril Islands.

The drill involved a cruiser and a nuclear-powered submarine and simulated strikes against naval targets more than 300 km away.

The announcement comes amid renewed tensions with Japan, which protested Putin’s August 13 visit to Iturup Island and has condemned Russia’s expanding military presence on the islands.
