🇮🇶 Iraq
• The unrest currently unfolding in Erbil Province is reportedly linked to a dispute between the leader of the Herki tribe in the Khabat district and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). According to local reports, the tribal leader was previously affiliated with a prominent Barzani-led party before leaving it over internal disagreements and joining another political movement. He was later arrested, prompting members of the Herki tribe to issue an ultimatum demanding his release and threatening armed action if their demands were not met.
• The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced that they destroyed an ISIS hideout along with a warehouse containing oil derivatives during an operation west of Ramadi.
• Iraq’s National Security Adviser also revealed that Baghdad has presented a proposal to Iran and Saudi Arabia to establish a unified coordinating security council aimed at strengthening regional security cooperation.
🇮🇷 Iran
• Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, warned that if the economic war against Iran continues, not a single drop of oil will be exported through the Strait of Hormuz or anywhere in the Persian Gulf. He added that Iran will regard any participation in or support for the American economic war against the Iranian people as an act of war.
• IRGC targeted a vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz as maritime tensions continue to escalate in the Gulf.
• A report published by The Independent reported that Iran’s attacks on a major U.S. naval facility in Bahrain severely damaged the base and disrupted logistical support for the USS Abraham Lincoln. According to the report, damage to the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet support facility forced supplies for the aircraft carrier to be transported from a location approximately 2,200 miles away, contributing to shortages and deteriorating conditions aboard the vessel.
🇾🇪 Yemen
• A Yemeni military source told Saba News Agency that Yemeni air defenses shot down a Saudi ScanEagle reconnaissance drone after it allegedly entered Yemeni airspace in Hajjah Governorate.
• Separately, an explosion was reported in the southern Yemeni city of Aden, although no official information has been released regarding casualties or the cause of the blast.
🇱🇧 Lebanon
Local Lebanese sources reported that Israeli forces carried out 44 strikes across southern Lebanon within the past 24 hours.
The reported attacks targeted Al-Mansouri, Ali al-Taher, Mayfadoun, Kafr Rumman, Baraachit, Mays al-Jabal, Hadatha, Qantara, and Srobbine, and included airstrikes, artillery shelling, and attacks on multiple villages across the border region.
